To Tecumseh

Posted on April 23, 2011April 23, 2011 by Rocco

You were meant for other places
Tecumseh
                           So, as we slept
you fashioned a thought, rigged
it with a dream as light as morning,
and before we awoke you sailed away,
carried on our breaths into the sun.

When the Revolution Comes

I will be right behind you,
stones in hand, though they’re heavy
and you, Papa, are a giant,
tall enough for one to stop
at the back of your head.
